Welcome to Malolo Island Marina Summer Sailstice 2026 and Boat camp weekend !!!

Malolo Island has been a major location for Summer Sailstice events since our start in 2020! They’ve got another great 3-day weekend planned for 2026.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Starting at 1 pm on the 19th of June and going on through 11:59 pm on the 21 st of June, we will have many live performances, singers, entertainers, and group sails. This year we will be doing our boat camping event as we do each year. This will be Malolo Island Marina’s 6th year participating in the Summer Sailstice events, and we hope not to let you down and provide a spectacular array of events for you all! We will be giving away a Malolo Island Marina Summer Sailstice female and male outfits during the event.

FREE BOAT CAMPING!

This year’s events will be similar to last year’s with our access to 7 protected water Sims that we will be using as our Boat Camping mooring areas provided to us by Linden Labs for our event. We will have designated areas for mooring. Please respect the mooring plan and utilize our maps to find your spot for the weekend’s use. Please be courteous and do not block the sailing lanes in or out of the boat camp areas. Also, please note the GENERAL maturity rating of these public regions.

All available Malolo Island Marina boat slips are open for use for the weekend free of charge, but tips of appreciation are always welcome. All mooring areas on the three boat camp areas are also on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please look for any Malolo Island Marina staff member to help with any questions or concerns.

IMPORTANT! MAXIMUM BOAT LAND IMPACT IS 120. Using fewer prims is highly encouraged up to the max limit of 120. Please respect this limitation as we will have 100s of guests attending and we want to be fair to all and prevent the Sims from becoming overloaded and locked out. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Malolo Island Marina Stream Relay Hud

This year we have pretty cool way to listen in on all the live singers and performers that will be on the Malolo Marina main stage!
We have a remote listener HUD giver that was provided by Fred Allandale of SK Products. The HUD allows anyone wearing it to listen to the live streams anywhere in SL. This is especially useful for the boat camping areas which do not have music playing on them. Stay abreast of everything going on Malolo Island Marina by hopping over to the below LM and clicking on the Remote listener kiosk to receive your HUD. Keep in mind if you detach the HUD for any reason you will need to grab another from any HUD dispenser that is provided around the boat camping areas.

Music to Fly By Radio (MtFB Radio)

We have a dedicated radio station provided by MtFB radio. MtFB is the radio station designed with the grid travelers in mind. Tune in to live broadcasts or listen to recordings of previous ones. A nice mix of music and talk that goes well with flying, driving, boating or just about anything you are doing.
There will be a hud giver on all Sims during the event that you can wear and hear everything going on during our Summer Saisltice event. MtFB radio will be the central point for Summer Sailstice 2025.

Drivers of SL grid sail event

The Drivers of SL will be doing their yearly grid sail to Malolo with BBX as our sponsor for the free gift for the completion of the event.

This year we have an awesome motorboat waiting for all participants of the Drivers grid sail provided by BBX Yachts. You have to complete the sail to get your prize. Please check with the Drivers of SL group for information regarding the sailing event for this weekend. You must join the Drivers grid sail in order to be able to achieve the prize. Once you arrive to the final destination and get your prize feel free to moor your boats at any docks that are open and participate in our Malolo Island Marina boat camping weekend!!

SLCS Cheerleaders Demonstration Team

SLCS Cheerleaders will also being doing their signature demonstration on New Malolo stage area, You dont want to miss their awesome performance!

LCC Sailing group Grid Sail

Leeward Cruising Club will be doing their 1 pm cruise and participating in our yearly boat camping event. Please check with the LCC group to join their scheduled cruise. Upon completion of the sail find a spot on any of the 3 Sims dock mooring provided to participate in the boat camping weekend.

Night Rangers Air Show

The Night Rangers are one of Second Life’s premier aerial entertainment teams, combining precision flying, theatrical storytelling, music, and special effects into a unique live performance experience.

Led by the fearless Captain Thunderbolt and his trusted wingman Night Hawk, the Night Rangers patrol the virtual skies in a series of action-packed adventures that blend classic Saturday matinee serials, comic book heroics, and high-energy airshow performances. Their shows feature dramatic aerial maneuvers, synchronized formation flying, daring aerobatics, and spectacular particle effects that transform the sky into a living stage.

SK Products

SK Products creates and sells a wide variety of scripted products primarily targeting other creators, merchants, store and venue owners, performers and DJs. Popular products include the Subscriber Kiosk Mailing List Management System (over 3000 sold), The Creative Publisher for creating highly interactive in-world publications, the Advance Texturing HUD Kit (now with PBR support), the new Set Parcel Audio Stream (SPAS) System, and many, many more. Nearly 100 different products in all.

Owner Fred Allandale has been active in Second Life for almost 20 years and writes all his own scripts. He occasionally does custom scripts for other people as well.

No-One Left At The Dock! The Leeward Cruising Club (LCC) is a group dedicated to gentle journeys around the continents, seas and waterways of Second Life, and we hold regular cruises every Sunday at 1pm and Tuesday at 5pm, followed by a party that often go on far longer than the cruise itself.
